Afghanistan culture is characterized to have had a warlike history because the main occupation has been war, for many time. their culture has been influenced by religions, mostly by islam but budhism and zoroastrianism too but on less scale.
His gentilic is Afghans or Afghansitans. tjeir geographical position makes it across between India, Pakistan and central asia. Civilization has been greatly influenced by these three places. there are two official languages: Dari and pashto, the last one is the most spoken but there are also other minor languages .
The main food is bases on cereals: wheat , barley, rice and corn; kebab is a dish with lamb meat ,is algo popular Afgan carpets are world famous and highly prized because the unique designs and materials for their elaboration .
they cannot drink liquor because is forbbiden by islam. The tradicional drink is doogh made with yogurt , water and mint .religious dates are celebrated acording to the lunar calendar and others civil holidays are based on solar calendar .
talibans had overshadowed Afghanistan life and culture but with they were throw out in the early 2000s western changes and influence were introduced as well, allowing a better life
